Poor mama Shark was just trying to have some fun~it always takes me a week or two before i forget where all the bad mistakes are and i can really enjoy it. but he is darling, warts and all ^^ i am putting the final layers of polyurethane on the base, so pictures in a day or two.
It looks pretty flawless from here, but hey- better to enjoy it later than never! He really is a darling, I actually saw the painted up version on pixiv and I have to say, your one poll about sucking at acrylic painting is a lie (assuming of course you used acrylics to paint the lad?) It's a really clean job- especially love the eyes! By the by, how big is it? o3o
yeah - i made the poll after i painted his hair. the lines are pretty sloppy and there's a little too much texture from over working the paint - i need to learn to use extender and handle the brushes right ^n^ i just got some new short handled detail ones that should work well for the next try.
the eyes are carved in so they were kind of hard to get right. they were a bit chunky, but the interference blue (shiny paint on eyes/tail) hid most of the mess
he's a little fry - about 4X4 - his head is a little larger than a quarter and you can easily cup him in your hand.

(I know I haven't commented on the project: For some reason my mind just blanks out to the ideas of mermaids. Also centaurs. And especially mertaurs [not to be confused with the Merataur].)
I think she'll get used to him, weird arms and hair and all that! ^u^ i see him holding onto her dorsal fin to keep up while he's so young!
