I used a different technique for her wings and hair - fun experimenting and they turned out great!

So...how does that work...(and what does it cost)?
you just send me a note or email with what you want, I quote, and if that works I make an invoice and you wait in line until it's your turn to have your piece made. ^^
for this one, the princess twi, since i've had multiple people interested and only make her annually, will be put up for auction.
It's a multi tiered issue, but TL;DR - I really don't want to spend all of my time making princess twilights, regardless of how much money i could make.
I did one remake for 2014, but the client was super rude about it not being ~exactly~ the same and wanted me to remake her for free (NOPE!). I'm not a 3D printer, or even like remaking pieces so I went the auction route so that I could be more creative with them and the buyer would know they're not buying an exact remake.
Just remaking one piece doesn't help me get into other fandoms or sculpt in other styles, or find clients that want original content, which is what I really want to do. I don't become a better sculptor by making the same thing over and over - I get bored, cynical, and deeply unhappy.
I think it's funny you'd say 'a reasonable price' - what does that even mean? for some people that's quite low indeed.
A reasonable price is one that satisfies both the seller and the buyer. However, you're the one who sells it, so it is your decision as to what it should be - then the rest of us can decide to buy or not, just like it is with any other item offered for sale anywhere.
If you have some items you want to sell, people will look at the price tag and see if they're interested.
I guess I mostly wanted to avoid the nuisance of being overbid at the last second ("No you son of a B...erh...Brony...*I* wanted that thing!"). That is also why I never use eBay.
true story, i just get the 'i'm being unreasonable' when i ask for enough to survive on
I feel bad... I was trained as an ebay sniper at the tender age of 13.... I know how it sucks to be out bid and how good it feels to be the out-bidder! maybe keep and eye on her this week and once the auction is done decide how to continue?
It looks sooooo smooth...
wow...very nice....better than my clay pig I made...(its only been a year and I lost his head and his body is somewhere..)
lol once again....very nice love the eyes!
Princess Luna is still the besr. XP
But I'm sure Twilight will make a great Princess! ^.^
