Pokemon - Mew OOAK by VIIStar Pokemon - Mew OOAK by VIIStar
Gen 1 Pokemon Mew - 4" tall

The tail is thin steel wire and the pics look a little dark, but the colors are correct, it's so light that i had to fiddle with my camera settings to stop it from washing out.

I just saw this Mew figure IRL, I'm friends with the winner lol, and pictures do not express how wonderful this figure is;
The eyes are so gorgeous.

And when it's next to official Mew items, it looks legit official! Your figures are so amazing~

I just got it in the mail today and its freakin AMAZING! I LOVE it!~ I was worried about the tail getting messed up or something but everything is fine and its gorgeous. It'll proudly sit with the rest of my mew collection ^^ Thank you for making this.

So good to hear - I always try to pack as safely as possible! The tail is steel wire, so it doesn't bend as easily as the thinness would suggest.

Glad you like him and he's surrounded by his own kind! :happycry:

I love your work! but seriously how do you ship!? My biggest issue is things breaking no matter what i ship them in. :/

you need to double box fragile things with a 2" pad on each side (ie - 8" interior with 12" exterior) filled with firm packing peanuts, not the soft biodegradeable ones. Also choose boxes that have a weight test stamp on them.

If you do that it'll get where it needs to go.

genius! thank you! i will try that for sure. one thing that i found helps is cotton filling for stuffed animals.

cotton filling would work for the interior box with big bubble wrap, but the firm peanuts tend to hold the interior box in place better.

Good luck!

Very good craftsmanship! I love it. What did you use for the base, if you don't mind me asking?

thanks ^^

the bases are your run of the mill, standard wooden pieces from any craft store :3

thanks - the trick is to sand and prime them before painting, then coat them with the same sealant the sculpt was sealed with so they match ^^

That's absolutely brilliant. And wire for the tail! I've always wondered how to make thin parts to my figurines.

Seriously - you're really talented :D
