i was wondering what kind of adhesive do you use if any to glue ur sculpts to their bases? i had used milliput white to stick my sculpt to its base and later it mysteriously broke off if its base (or maybe someone just dropped it without me knowing)
For small ones I use the CA glue and for larger ones, epoxy glue. Any time you stick one thing to another (including fixing cracks) you want to use an actual glue and not just epoxy. glue first epoxy second.
When you mount, make sure there is wire that is leading into the base - drill as close a hole to the wire size as you can into the wood base and then glue it. can't go wrong.
D: But I get what you mean, I think I've been drawing since I was vaery young, but then stopped when I was 14 and didn't do it for years until when I joined dA 4 yrs ago (I'm 28 now). So I kinda feel like I lost 10 yrs of practice but also have a feeling that I will never make up for it For many reasons, I dropped interest in art altogether in that time, now I greatly regret it >,< I'm thinking of what I could have become by now if I never hard that long break, and of all the skills I could've had by now and look at teenagers being a million times more professional than me and using all sorts of mediums, and I think that I've done it to myself D: But maybe I should just get your attitude and try to make up for that lost time, haha
